Bollywood Fashion Designer and stylist Swapnil Shinde gives herself a New Year gift by coming out as a trans woman. Swapnil announced it on social media and changed her name to Saisha Shinde. In the post, the designer talked about the struggles she had to go through to accept her true self. After the announcement, many of her celebrity friends showered her with support and love. Actress Kavitta Verma, who has worked with Swapnil in fashion week, shares her take on this. Kavitta says,” I have known Swapnil for quite some time now, I have also been a showstopper for her design. She is a very good designer and has always stood out for her talent. Apart from being a showstopper, she loved the gown she wore , it was a masterpiece. Her design bring out the best of a woman's feminine side. During my film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, I called up Saisha for some suggestions.I think anybody can do what she has done if they want. The courage and determination she has shown are amazing. Kudos to Saisha. She has stood for herself and that it is very encouraging. I think Saisha has inspired a lot of people and many will learn from her.”
Kavitta also showed her support and congratulations for Saisha on social media for courageously making the decision. It is already 2021 and people have become a lot more accepting of sensitive topics like this which used to be considered taboo. Everyone is very proud of Saisha for making this decision for her happiness and having the courage to talk about it on social media. Even in the judgemental industry where people often scrutinize celebrities for every little thing, everyone has shown Saisha a lot of love, including Kavitta.
