Celebrity hairstylist Madhav Trehan, who has styled for more than 1000 songs in Punjab as well as actors such as Jacqueline Fernandes, says that the long hair is going to trend this year. He says that while a lot has changed last year, this is a look which is here to stay. “2020 has changed a lot of things. So many people changed their looks, a lot of people let their hair grow and I feel that is the look which will really rock this year,” he says.
However, Madhav says how you style your hair is a very personal choice and also depends on the kind of role an actor is essaying. “I feel that it is up to you as everyone has their favourite hairstyle. For me, I think scrunchies are the one thing that can really lift a hairstyle. Also, it all depends on the demand of the character that an actor is playing on the screen and his or her background. In films, you can go for a slightly new look as well,” he says.
Madhav says that when it comes to hair products, it is important to customise according to your hair type. “So, it is important to see the kind of hair you have before deciding on a product. There are different products for varying hair types. So, like dry hair will require something else which will not work on an oily scalp. It’s also a good idea to take expert advice before you buy anything, especially for your hair because using the wrong product can really damage your hair,” he says.
Ask him who has the best hair in showbiz, and he says, “Well, that’s a tough one! All the actresses have good hair but Jacqueline Fernandez and Nupur Sanon have really beautiful hair. In fact, Jackie coloured her hair black recently for a movie and looks gorgeous.”
